On the morning of October 20th, HUST signed a strategic cooperation agreement with theGeneral Technology Group Harbin Measuring&Cutting Tool Group Co.Ltd.(HMCTG)and jointly established the "Joint Research and Development Base for Precision Tools" in order to deeply implement thespirit of the20th Party Congress on accelerating the implementation of the innovation-driven developmentand deepeningthe cooperation between HUST and HMCTG. Vice President Chen Qingguo, head of Science and Technology Division Kang Shouqiang, Dean of School of Mechanical and Power Engineering Zhang Yuan, Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing Intelligent Technology of the Ministry of Education Liu Xianli and other 8 people went to HMCTG to participate in the signing and unveiling ceremony. Lin Chunhai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Liu Qi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, Wang Qiang, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of HMCTG, and other leaders of the company attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Liu Qi of HMCTG.

At the ceremony, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, a joint agreement on the construction of a joint R&D base for precision tools and an agreement on cooperation in horizontalscientificresearch projects.The R&D basewas inaugurated by HUST and HMCTG.
