In the selection of the education and teaching achievement award at the provincial level of Heilongjiang province in 2017 which was just finished, our school won 11 awards altogether , including 4 first-prize and 7 second-prize. We rank 3rd in Heilongjiang province and 1st among the provincial universities and colleges, creating the best result as recorded.
The education and teaching achievement award experienced 5 stages in all, they are respectively recommendation by their own school, scoring according to the research output, evaluation by the experts in and out of our campus, holding training sessions of the project application and perfection for the materials. The materials are strictly examined and selected, finally altogether 18 first-prize of education and teaching achievement at the school-level were recommended with the great potential to win the provincial-level prize. The education department of Heilongjiang province began the first round of evaluation by commissioning the education department of Liaoning province, and 13 projects were selected, which then were subsequently evaluated for the second round by the experts organized by the education department of Heilongjiang province. As a result, 11 projects won the award with severe competition.
The teaching achievement award makes a historical breakthrough, which proves that our school has long paid great attention to undergraduate teaching, and encouraged the teachers to be committed to teaching, research teaching and the applied teaching of research output. Also, it exerts positive influence on ensuring the talent-oriented status, deepening the reform of education and teaching as well as improving the quality of talents. Meanwhile, it lays a solid basis for stepping into the first-class undergraduate university and furthering double first-class construction plan.
