A team of eight led by General Manager and deputy general manager of Shandong Chengxiang Electrical Engineering & Equiment Co Ltd. visited our university on June 6 and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. President Li Dayong had a talk with the delegation, Vice president Guo Erjun presided over the signing ceremony and addressed. Director of Department of Science and Technology Yu Xiaoyang, director of School of Electric Engineering Chen Qingguo, Director of School of Administration Qi Liangqun, Director of School of automation Xu Jiazhong,DeputyDirector of Department of Science and Technology Zhang Hui, Deputy Director of School of Electric Engineering Song Lixin, Vice Director of School of Metarial Shi Dequan, Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering and Energy Zhang Yuan, Professor of School of Administration Lang Hongwen and other officials were present at the signing ceremony.
Vice President Guo Erjun gave a brief introduction about the basic situation of HUST. He pointed out that HUST has maintained a friendly cooperative relationship with Shandong ChengXiang Electrical Engineering & Equiment Company, Ltd. for a long time. He added that the company leaders are one of the alumni of HUST, who is a glory of the school and expressed that he welcome alumni come back to their alma mater. Schools will further expand areas of cooperation with the company and create a mutually beneficial, win-win model of sustainable development on both sides. After this, Vice Principal Guo Erjun introduced some scientific achievements cooperated with the company.
Li Xianju, General Manager of Shandong ChengXiang Electrical Engineering & Equiment Company, Ltd. made an introduction. He said that ChengXiang, a high-tech enterprise and the country's designated producers of high-tech pipe fittings, mainly produces power transmission products, composite materials and transformers. The company whose registered capital is 518.88 million RMB Yuan and total assets 1.611 billion RMB Yuan, has 2860 employees, including 897 ones with college degree or above, 78 senior engineers and 68 senior executives. It covers an area of 1.866 million square meters with 1.128 million square meters in use for buildings and owns jurisdiction of 12 subsidiaries such as subsidiary in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Ningxia and Xinjiang. The company has a provincial technology research and development center and has been entitled with honors as “Key Provincial High-tech Enterprise”, “Provincial Enterprise of Observing Contract and Valuing Credit”, “China Patent Star Enterprise in Shandong” and so on. He said that as a graduate of HUST, it was the university that trained him. Now they returned to alma mater to seek more comprehensive cooperation and hoped that they can contribute to the construction and development of HUST while getting help from it at the same time.
After the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between school and enterprise, school leaders and teachers in presence promoted a number of scientific research projects and achievements and then both sides launched in-depth exchanges on some results which aroused the enterprise’s interest. ChengXiang invited our experts to take a field investigation and to promote related projects to carry out in enterprise. We believed the creative cooperation model between our school and the enterprise will promote the development of scientific research.
