Chinese Dream will be accomplished jointly by the youth voluntary service. The 3rdChinese Youth Voluntary Service Program Competition, highest level competition in the field of Chinese youth voluntary service, namely 2016 Voluntary Service Exchange Conference commenced in Ningbo. Qin Yizhi, head of the Communist Youth League, Yang Liwei, Deputy Director of Manned Space Flight Office, the leading officials of relevant departments of the organizers of the competition, 38 provincial competition units of the state, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and representatives of benevolent enterprises and volunteers attended the opening ceremony of the competition. “Volunteering with Art” from HUST (“Yi Sui Yi Dong”) entered the national final through the preliminary and provincial contest and won the silver prize.
Meanwhile, the voluntary service of HUST won one gold prize, one silver prize and three bronze prizes in Heilongjiang 2ndYouth Voluntary Service Program Competition. “Volunteering with Art” of the School of Art won the gold prize, “Going Deep into the Chinese and Foreign Cultural Essence, Perceiving Voluntary Company” of the School of Material Science and Engineering the silver prize, “Promoting Traditional Culture and Art, Caring for the Voluntary Service Civilization” from the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, “Joy Accompanying Peasant-workers Children” from the School of Software and “Warming the Sunset by Heart, Caring for the Elderly” from Youth Voluntary Association of HUST the bronze prizes. Youth League Committee of HUST got the Award of Excellent Organization and the title of Advanced Individual was bestowed upon Cao Shi, instructor of Youth Voluntary Association.
