Rongcheng School of HUST and Ireland Griffith College Hold Signing Ceremony for Jointly-operated Program

On Jan. 11, Rongcheng School and Ireland Griffith College held the signing ceremony for a jointly-operated program on the second floor of the Office Building. Zhang Su, the Dean of the Rongcheng School, and Chen Guanghai, the Vice Dean of the Rongcheng School attened the ceremony and negotiated with Diarmuid Hegarty, the Chancellor of the Ireland Griffith College on relevant affairs. Conference attendees included Kevin, the Supervisor of the Marketing Sector, Yang Yifan, the teacher representative, Li Songbin, Board Chairman of the Jinnuohua International Education Development Center, Tao Fuchun, the Head of the Mechanic Department, Sun Xuncheng, the Head of the Economic and Management Department, and Liang Yongxian, the Head of the Software Department.

Zhang Su extended his warm welcome towards Diarmuid Hegarty and described in detail the profile, development and construction of the school. Furthermore, Zhang Su reemphasized the significance of the jointly-operated program, illustrating the preparation made by Rongcheng School previously, expecting the two sides could strengthen the communication so as to accomplish the program successfully.

Hegarty expressed his appreciation of Rongcheng School for the warm reception. He remarked that Griffith College with diversified courses has long been adhered to the principle of “Students First” and established cooperation with over ten universities around the world. He agreed with the educational principle of Rongcheng School ― cultivating practice-oriented talents ― and expected to lay a solid foundation for further exchanges.

Afterwards, Hegarty delivered a speech to the students of the Software Department and Economic and Management Department, illustrating in detail the scale and features of Ireland Griffith College. His humorous and enlightening speech enabled the students to have a sufficient understanding of the College.
