In order to promote the spirit of model workers, the work ethic, and craftsmanship, and to inspire outstanding talents in the education, science, culture, and health sectors to fully demonstrate leadership, unite and mobilizepeopleto actively participate in entrepreneurship and innovation, and promote the high-quality development of education, science, culture, and health, the Chinese Education, Science, Culture, and Health Union has decided to select a group of national exemplarysite ofmodel workers and employee innovation. On August 15th, the National Committee of the Chinese Education, Science, Culture, and Health Union issued a document confirming thattheElectrical Insulation and Power Equipment Innovation Studio led by Professor Chi Qingguo has been recognized as a national exemplarysite ofmodel worker and employee innovation. A total of 98 studios nationwide (including 3 in Heilongjiang Province) were selected.

The Studio is focused on meeting the needs of national high-voltage power transmission and distribution and new energy vehicle drive systems, is aligned with the national medium and long-term science and technology development plan and major needs of localities and industries. It is based on the National Key Disciplines of High Voltage and Insulation Technology and the co-constructed national key laboratory cultivation base of“Dielectric Engineering”in the province, and has long been dedicated to the development and research of critical insulation materials and power equipment. It has developed into a top-tier team in the field within the country.

The studio carries out talent training and emphasizes the integration of the latest scientific research achievements into education, continuously improving the quality of talent training. The studio’s work has been highly recognized by the university and the Heilongjiang Provincial Education, Science, Culture, and Health Union, and it has played an actively demonstrative and leading role in the teaching and research work of the university.
