To commend a group of outstanding Communist Party members, excellent party workers, and advanced grassroots party organizations, and to inspire all levels of the school’s party organizations and party members to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and to make new achievements in the construction of a distinctive domestic first-class university of science and technology, the university held a celebration on the afternoon of June 29th in the Lecture Hall on the 5th floor of the main teaching building to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the commendation conference for“July 1st”. School leaders Zhao Lin, Liu Xia, Sun Shuhai, Zang Yongjun, Yang Zhongxue, Du Jun, and Lin Yi attended the commendation conference. The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhao Shuishan, presided over the meeting. Vice-level and above cadres from the entire school, representatives of party branch secretaries, and party members attended the conference.
Over the past two years, guided by the Communist Party of China (CPC), the entire school has united and worked vigorously, achieving remarkable results in high-quality and connotative development. Several indicators such as the assessment of political ecosystem, leadership team assessment, value-added evaluation, among others, rank at the forefront of universities in the province. In this process, a group of strong and leading grassroots party organizations, as well as individuals who are courageous, proactive, and capable, emerged. In this commendation, 79 comrades were awarded the honorary title of“Outstanding Communist Party Member,”10 comrades were honored as“Outstanding Party Workers,”and 13 party organizations were awarded the honorary title of‘Advanced Grassroots Party Organization.’President Liu Xia announced the“Decision of the Communist Party Committee of Harbin University of Science and Technology on Commending the‘Two Excellences and One Advanced’for the Years 2021-2023.”School leaders awarded certificates and medals to representatives of outstanding individuals and advanced collectives, and presented the“Glorious 50 Years in the Party”commemorative medal to veteran party members.
In hisspeech, Party Secretary Zhao Lin reviewed the glorious 102-year history of the Communist Party of China.He affirmed the achievements made by grassroots party organizations and party members in promoting the development of the university. On behalf of the school’s party committee, he expressed profound respect to the veteran party members who made outstanding contributions to the university’s development. Zhao also extended warm congratulations to the recognized outstanding collectives and individuals.He conveyed festive greetings to all party members diligently working on the frontlines of teaching, research, management, and service.
Zhao Lin emphasized the extensive implementation of learning from exemplary figures.He stressed the need to combine learning from exemplary figures with theoretical studyand the“year of work implementation”focusing on enhancing capabilities and work ethics. Thisintegrationaims to guide grassroots party organizations and the majority of party members to learn from exemplary figures, aiming for dedication, and to set high standards based on their exemplary and proactive spirits. It involves fostering unwavering loyalty, becoming a leading force in maintaining political integrity, concentrating efforts on strengthening the foundation, refining grassroots party construction as a crucial responsibility.He highlighted the need to focus on key tasks, find the integration points of party construction with central work priorities, set higher targets, self-impose pressure to advance, and create new and significant contributions to further elevate the university’s development, thus reaching new heights.
Liang Yuanhua, a senior party member, expressed gratitude during his speech on behalf of retired comrades, appreciating the high regard the school’s Party Committee has shown for the work of retirees and the care extended to veteran party members and retirees. He expressed immense pride and satisfaction for the school’s development and growth. Additionally, representatives Huang Chunli from the initial batch of the university’s Party Construction“entrepreneurship and innovation”work, Zhang Guiling representing advanced grassroots party organizations, Zhang Ying as an outstanding party worker, and Liu Peiyang as an exemplary Communist Party member also delivered speeches.
