From June 30 to July 6, 2019, at the invitation of University of Wisconsin-River Falls andUniversity of Calgary, Fang Wenbin, Vice President of HUST, led a delegation of three and visited UW-River Falls, UW-LaCrosse,Western Technical College, andUniversity of Calgary. The visits are aimed at promoting HUST’sconstruction of double-first classuniversity,pushing upthe indexofglobal development as listed in the fifth round discipline ranking, opening up young teachers’ opportunities of visiting overseas,broadeningthe global horizon and experience of teaching staff, improving their ability of do research and collaborateon a global scale, and enhancing short-term overseas training of students. The visits have yielded fruitful results. Cooperation has been enhanced and consensus has been reached on issues such as teachers’ and students’ exchange, joint scientific research and student training, short-term training,etc. Cooperation agreements have been signed during the visits, achievingdesired results.
