President Li Meets with Preparatory Group Leader of HUST’s Alumni Association in Japan

On August 7, HUST President Li Dayong, as well as the chairman of HUST Alumni Association Headquarters, met with Alumnus Chen Gang (a HUST computer major of Grade 1978), the board director of both Tominaga Development and Shanghai Leppersens International Trade Corporation as well as the preparatory group leader of HUST’s Alumni Association in Japan.

During the meeting, on behalf of HUST, President Li extended a warm welcome to Chen’s arrival as well as an appreciation to his continuous deep concern over the development of his Alma Mater. He inquired Chen’s life and work in Japan, esp, the preparatory work of establishing HUST’s Alumni Association in Japan, and spoke highly of the significance of this work. Alumnus Chen thanked the education he and his daughter (a HUST alumna) had ever got in his Alma Mater, and expressed his wishes to establish HUST’s Alumni Association in Japan as soon as possible so as to make contribution to Alma Mater’s development with the joint efforts of more Alumni.

Wang Qi, the director of Enrollment & Allocation Department as well assecretary general of HUST Alumni Association Headquarters, and Dong Chuanyou, the director of Office of Alumni Affairs as well as vice secretary general of HUST Alumni Association Headquarters, presented in this meeting, too.
