On the afternoon of January 5, Vice President Guo Erjun, accompanied by Chen Yang, Deputy General Manager of the Science and Technology Park, as well as the staff members of the park, made a security inspection of the park.

Vice President Guo Erjun inspected the north area of the park, listening to the introduction to the park by staff there. He pointed out that the plants there had been in use for quite a long time, and most of the buildings were obsolete, thus causing many potential security risks. He also emphasized electricity and fire safety, asking staff to inspect regularly and making specific guidance and supervision regarding the safety problems. He then visited the I-shaped building in the east area, and the manufacturing plant, listening to the staff’s introduction, and asking about the enterprise's current production and fire safety. After that he visited the college students’ startup business, holding cordial talks with the head of the business. After having a detailed understanding of the process of entrepreneurship, Vice President Guo thought highly of their entrepreneurial ideas and entrepreneurial process, encouraging these students to further develop the business, and appreciating the work of innovation and entrepreneurship. He required that more support and help be given to those students and the barrier for entry be lower in order to attract more outstanding entrepreneurial enterprises to the park. Then he inspected the recent roof damage of some buildings and put forward specific maintenance requirements.

After the inspection, Vice President Guo Erjun emphasized that the work of the following three aspects should be strengthened. First, it needs to be aware that security is the top priority, because there are a number of old houses causing a lot of security risks and it is needed to increase inspections of the electricity and fire prevention. If there occurs any hidden potential risk, immediate elimination is needed. Long-term rotation check is also required. Second, hygiene management needs attention. In east and north areas there are a large number of manufacturing workshops, where sanitary conditions are not satisfactory. Therefore, enterprises are required to do a good cleaning and place items properly. Third, strengthen the macro management, and coordination work, especially those in the north park. For a safer park cooperation between relevant departments is in need.
