Between June 2 to 4, Vice President Fang Wenbin led Scientific Research Department Vice Director Zhang Hui, Graduate School Vice Dean Duan Hongwei, Automation School Vice Director Gao Junshan, Material Science and Engineering School Vice Director Shi Dequan, Electrical and Electronic Engineering School Doctoral Supervisor Liang Yanping, and Mechanical Power Engineering School Doctoral Supervisor Wang Monan to investigate and research in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. They mainly negotiated on scientific fruit conversion between HUST and Xuzhou and the construction of graduate students cultivation base. Xuzhou Organization Department Vice Director Wu Hao, Human Resource Department Vice Dean He Guangqi and directors in Development and Reform Commission and Scientific Bureau presented the negotiation. The two parties arrived at initial agreement. During the visit, President Fang also conducted research in Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group and carried out talk with relevant enterprises to promote scientific fruit of HUST and negotiate the cooperation.
On June 2, Fang Wenbin initially talked with the relevant departments in Xuzhou. During the meeting, Wu Hao introduced the social and economic development in Xuzhou and the new strategy in production structure adjustment and the attraction of high-level talents. He suggested that HUST could take Xuzhou as the model base in scientific fruit conversion. Further cooperation between Xuzhou and HUST was expected. Complementary development and mutual benefits are the target of future development. Fang Wenbin introduced the history, scientific capacity and talent advantage of HUST. HUST would develop the discipline and talents advantage to the fullest extent and serve the social and economic development of Xuzhou.
From June 3 to 4, Fang Wenbin visited the enterprises in Xuzhou and carried out talk with relevant enterprises. The visit is a vital strategy for HUST to deepen cooperation between HUST and Xuzhou, which is of great significance to promote the integration between teaching and industry.
