Mathematical Contest in Modeling forcollege students around the world,organized bySociety for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, was held on Feb. 11th-15th, 2011. Contestants of HUST won one award ofMeritorious, four awards of Honorable Mention and six awards of Successful in this contest. This is the fourth time that the contestants of our school have won the award of Meritorious. These achievements are earned because of the contestants’ hard working and innovation, because of the instructors’ dedication, also because of our school’s great emphasis on the study and technology competition activities of the college students and the support of the Library, the Network Information Center, and the Logistics Group. These achievements play a positive and encouraging role in improving the abilities and level of technology innovation of our students.
