Recently, the Global Scholar Library website announced the “2023 Global Scholar Academic Influence Rankings (Lifetime Academic Influence List)”, with a total of 8,029 scholars from China being included. HUST has one scholar on the list: Professor Hu Jun (ranked 80,773 globally with an H-index of 39) from School of Automation has been included in the rankings for Control Science and Engineering, which marks a continuous enhancement of HUST’s research capability and international influence in Control Science and Engineering.
The Global Scholar Academic Influence Rankings (Lifetime Academic Influence List) is determined based on a comprehensive calculation of various parameters, including scholars’ research output, Google Scholar Metrics journal scores, H-index, citation counts of their achievements, and their author position in those achievements. A higher average score for scholars indicates a tendency to publish papers in high-quality journals, while the comprehensive score takes into consideration the scholars’ research output volume to a greater extent.
