On July 30th, Award Ceremony and Report Meeting for “The Most Beautiful Logistics Staff of 2023” in the National Education Logistics System was held in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Tian Fuyuan, Deputy Director and First-Class Inspector, as well as Yu Yang, Second-Class Inspector, both from the Department of Development and Planning of the Ministry of Education, and Liu Jianping, President of the China Education Logistics Association, attended the event. Zhang Dawei, Director of the Office of the Logistics Management Department of HUST, was awarded the honor of “The Most Beautiful Logistics Staff of 2023” and participated in the award ceremony as a representative of the honorees.
To fully showcase the remarkable achievements in establishing a high-quality logistics support team for the education system on the new journey in the new era, the China Education Logistics Association has launched a nomination event themed “New Era, New Dedication” for the “Most Beautiful Logistics Staff of 2023” across the national education logistics system, aiming to promote the dedication and responsibility of university logistics staff, and inspire logistics workers to uphold their educational mission and contribute to building an educationally powerful country. A total of 277 universities from 28 provinces participated in the nomination event,ultimately resulting in the selection of 50 individuals and 30 teams nationwide in the field of higher education. In Heilongjiang Province, only two individuals including Zhang Dawei, and one team were honored with this distinction.
As one of the logistics staff at HUST, Zhang Dawei has always practiced the logistics management and service philosophy of our university, staying at the forefront of his position. He has interpreted the purpose of “serving teachers and students” through his solid work performance. He demonstrates unwavering commitment, an unstoppable spirit, dedication to the public interest, and a conscientious approach to responsibility. He also actively initiates actions, dares to shoulder duties, and wholeheartedly provides professional, high-quality, and efficient services and support to teachers and students.
In recent years, HUST has concentrated its efforts on a diverse array of livelihood-related tasks and objectives. We have actively secured funding for logistical support, paid much attention to the upgrading and modernization of infrastructure and equipment for teaching, scientific research, and service provision. Furthermore, we have strengthened dietary and medical safeguards, and progressively enhanced the maintenance and upgrading of campus buildings as well as older residential areas. We have already constructed facilities such as the Western Campus Central Canteen and the Western Campus Indoor Leisure Sports Field. Additionally, the Student Activity Center, situated within the New Energy Building on the Western Campus, is nearing completion and will soon be ready for use. Guided by the principles of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, we have consistently prioritized the fundamental mission of nurturing virtue through education. In the course of our development, we ensure the well-being of our university, striving to create a comfortable, secure, culturally vibrant, and compassionate campus living environment for both teachers and students. We continuously uphold, protect, and advance the fundamental interests of our faculty and staff, ensuring that teachers and students experience a greater sense of fulfillment, security, and sustainability in their sense of gain, happiness, and safety.
