On 19th Jan. 2024, the ceremony of the National Engineer Awards was held in the Great Hall of the People. Eighty-one individuals and 50 teams were bestowed the National Outstanding Engineer Awards.

Engineers are the innovative entities driving the development of engineering technology and an important component of the national strategic talent force. This year, the country has held the first “National Engineer Award” ceremony, aiming to commend advanced and exemplary individuals, build an outstanding team of engineers in the new era, strengthen the construction of national strategic talents, and inspire and mobilize engineers to strive for the new era and make contributions on a new journey.

It was reported that Heilongjiang Role Model Professor Cai Wei from HUST was awarded the National Outstanding Engineer Award in the ceremony.
