On 27 March, Elsevier delivered the list of “Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers” in 2023. Professor Hu Jun, the doctoral supervisor of Maths in the Automation School in HUST was selected into the list for four consecutive years.
It is known that the list uses Scopus, the global authentic database of citations and indexes, as the source of statistics of the research accomplishments of Chinese researchers. There are 5,801 people from 496 universities, enterprises and research institutions, covering 10 disciplines and 84 first-level subjects designated by the Ministry of Education. The list of “Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers” selects talents completely by the forces of their papers, which will continue being adopted as an important indicator to rank Chinese soft science universities in this year.
