Recently, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee issued the "Notice of the Propaganda Department of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee on Naming the Eighth Batch of Demonstration Sites for Grassroots Ideological and Political Work in the Province".

The establishment of demonstration sites for this work is guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focusing on the fundamental task of "two consolidations" and the mission of "raising our flag firmly, gathering people's hearts, cultivating people, invigorating culture, and displaying image". The task is to take ideological and political work as an important way to strengthen party building and social governance, play a key role in demonstration and leading, and further improve the quality and level of ideological and political work at the grassroots level. In this selection, the province named a total of 72 grassroots ideological and political work demonstration sites, of which only 4 colleges and universities were involved. In August last year, our university accepted the inspection and gained approval of the assessment experts for the building of demonstration sites.

Under the leadership of the university's party committee, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering focuses on the fundamental task of people cultivation, tackling fundamental issues of "who to cultivate, how to cultivate, and for whom we cultivate". Meanwhile, we coordinate the field of scientific research, management, service and practice for people cultivation, making a concrete job on ideological and political work, achieving an outstanding score on people performance with the help of "four concentration" cultivating pattern. First, we concentrate on the pattern of student growth, develop our practical education, and cultivate people for the era. Second, we concentrate on the class, treat it as the main channel of ideological and political cultivation, and spread it to the whole process of our education, forming a new pattern of whole-process cultivation. Third, we concentrate on the construction of ideological and political teams and build a community of people cultivation. Fourth, we concentrate on the guidance of our "Sandian Huangpu" culture and spirit, innovate the teacher evaluation system, and strengthen the building of teachers' morality.

In recent years, the school party committee has attached great importance to ideological and political work, insisted on using Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era for our spirit and determination construction, conscientiously implemented the fundamental task of morality building and people cultivation, followed the instruction of ideological and political work. As the result, our quality and level of ideological and political work achieved continuous improvement. This time, we were named as a demonstration site for ideological and political work, which is the second consecutive term our university achieves such an honor, and it is also a significant achievement for our university's effort on the ideological and political work.

In the future, our university will study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC in-depth, closely focus on the fundamental task of people cultivation, improve the ideological and political work system, give full play to the demonstrating and leading role of the work sites, effectively improve the quality of ideological and political work at the grassroots level, and further strengthen the ideological and political work in the school, hoping to provide solid ideological back and strong spiritual power for the revitalization of Heilongjiang province and the development of our university.
