On March 26th,Department of Science and Department of Education announced the final evaluation results of 86 University Science Parks. Science Park of HUST passed Infrastructure Evaluation (Stage 1) and Development Evaluation (Stage 2) successfully, receiving evaluation result B (Good).

The evaluation is based onRegulation and Management of National University Science Park(No. [2010]628) andEvaluation Guidance on National University Science Park(No. [2010] 69). Department of Science and Department of Education evaluated 86 National University Science Park, among which 17 Parks received A (Excellent), 47 Parks were B (Good), 19 Parks C (Qualified) and one Park D (Not Qualified, Delisting). Further, two Parks are required to rectify.

HUST attached great importance to the evaluation. Under the guidance of school leaders, the staff in Science Park conducted the preparation carefully. The result of the evaluation fully displayed excellent work done by the staff in Science Park.

Since 2009, Science Park of HUST has realized rapid development in terms of Park area, incubating business, academic conversion, cultivation of innovative talents and taxation, which enabled the Park to pass the performance evaluation of National University Science Park and National Incubator. Centered on business incubator, the Park which is safeguarded by the mechanism of enterprise coordinator committed to provide public technological service under the carrier of Service Center. Science Park of HUST displays reasonable distribution in incubator, accelerator and industrialization base. Furthermore, enterprises under incubation enjoy rapid development; university students’ entrepreneurship takes the lead.
