On the morning of April 11^th, a 7-person delegation of Harbin University of Commerce (HUC) headed by Vice President Zhang Zhijun investigated Network Information Center of Harbin University of Science and Technology (HUST), concerning the issues of informatization construction and digital campus construction.Vice Party Secretary Lu Yan, Dean of Network Information Center Sun Mingsong, Vice Dean of Network Information Center Shi Changren, Zhang Qiang and other related staff met with the visitors. A seminar was held, in which the two parties exchanged ideas on the issues of campus card project and SCOA.

On the seminar, Vice Party Secretary Lu Yan, on behalf of HUST, extended a warm welcome to Vice Principal Zhang Zhijun and his party, and introduced the general information of HUST and developing situation of Network Information Center. Vice Secretary Lu Yan emphasized the strong impact that internet played in all aspects of our life and work and mentioned the importance that the university leaders attached to informatization construction. The university has made a large investment on equipment, staff, capital and research and development, therefore, the informatization construction has been promoted upstairs.

Dean Sun Mingsong made a keynote speech entitledThe Orientation of the Functions of Network Information CenterUnder the Situation of Education Reform.In the speech, he made an introduction of the following four aspects: the general information of Network Information Center, the basic data on network information, the features and fruits of their work in the last five years and the orientation of functions of the network information center under the situation of education reform. Dean Sun focused on the introduction to the Campus Card Project, sharing with the counterpart the successes and problems that had been tackled. The two parties exchanged ideas on the issues of preparation, execution and promotion of the Campus Card Project.

Vice President Zhang Zhijun expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and selfless assistance that they received. He highlighted HUST’s impressive performance on informatization construction and the improvement of living quality brought by the exploitation of campus cards. Meanwhile, for the reason that the application scheme ofConstructSCOAPlatform and Create Advanced Internet Culture In Order to Help Foster Excellent Engineershas been approved by the Heilongjiang Department of Education, HUST became one of the two universities which got the approval and was recommended to apply for the experimental unit authorized by MOE. HUST is taking a leading role in informatization construction among the universities in Heilongjiang Province, therefore, has become the role model for other universities. Vice President Zhang Zhijun looks forward to the enhanced communication and cooperation on informatization construction between the two parties.
