A few days ago, the 2ndPostgraduate Forum (Main Forum) of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was held in Room A102 of New Teaching Building, which was hosted by School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, undertaken by Postgraduate Association of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. During this forum, 124 theses were collected from postgraduates of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Moreover, authors of 27 outstanding papers, recommended by various disciplines, delivered academic reports.
Vice President Zhao Hong attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Professor Song Lixin, Vice Dean of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, presided at the forum. Besides, Professor Li Zhonghua, Professor Chen Qingguo, Professor Zhou Meilan, Professor Wang Xuan, Professor Liang Yanping, Professor Zhou Feng, Professor Han Baozhong, Professor Lu Di, and Professor Liu Ji attended the forum as judges. And more than 100 postgraduates form School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering attended the forum.
During the opening speech, Vice President Zhao Hong extended warm congratulations to the forum, and spoke highly of the work done by School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering form the aspects of postgraduate cultivation and promotion of postgraduate academic exchanges. Most importantly, Professor Zhao pointed out the significance of holding the forum. Firstly, postgraduate academic achievements can be reviewed. Secondly, postgraduate academic exchanges can be improved. Finally, postgraduates could broaden their academic horizons, and be acquainted with latest academic developments.
Because of the increasing enrollment of postgraduates, Postgraduate Association focused on how to guarantee and improve qualities of postgraduates. Thus this forum aimed at improving qualities of postgraduates, widening their academic horizons, cultivating their abilities to write research reports and to express academic achievements, and improving their innovation and scientific research capacity.
After the reports, Professor Li Zhonghua, Dean of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, delivered concluding remarks. He considered academic forums as important ways to demonstrate academic standards, to achieve academic innovation, and to create favorable academic atmosphere. Meanwhile, they could also provide opportunities to improve qualities of postgraduates and cultivate innovative talents.
