At 10:30 a.m.of March 29, the inaugural ceremony of “National Staff Sports Model Unit” was held in the hall of HUST’s new teaching building. Over 300 cadres and representatives from Provincial Federation Trade Union as well as some of HUST’s party and government organizations attended the ceremony. Together with Wang Yuehua and Ci Jingyuan , the chairman and the vice chairman of the federation of trade unions in Heilongjiang province, HUST’s party secretary Gao Jun and president Li Dayong unveiled the panel to announce HUST ranked among the 38 “National Staff Sports Model Unit” winners of China.
The ceremony was hosted by Lu Yan, vice party secretary of HUST CCP Committee. Wang Baohe, the minister of Propaganda ministry of education of the federation of trade unions in Heilongjiang province, read out the decision to award National Staff Sports Model Unit from ACFTU and General Administration of Sport of China. On behalf of Provincial Federation Trade Union and HUST, Vice Chairman Ci and Vice President Meng Dawei delivered their speech respectively.
To carry out the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Fifteenth Central Committee and carry on the nationwide fitness campaign so as to promote excellent physical and mental qualities of the entire people, in 2010, activities of establishing “National Staff Sports Model Unit” were jointly implemented by ACFTU and General Administration of Sport of China
As the only educational unit among all 38 “National Staff Sports Model Unit” winners awarded this time, during the last 2 years, HUST made great efforts to develop her staff sports under the guide of “National Health Regulations”, and created a complete set of innovative patterns of the staff P. E. complying with her Harmonious Campus Construction step by step.
