2012 International Conference on Information, Computing and Telecommunications (ICICT 2012), 2012 International Workshop on Information and Electronics Engineering (IWIEE 2012), and 2012

At the opening ceremony, President Li Dayong delivered an enthusiastic speech, expressing a warm welcome and heartfelt appreciation to the guests on behalf of HUST, as well as introducing the historical evolvement, development of discipline and research achievements of HUST. Chairman of ICICT 2012, Vice President of HUST Meng Dawei delivered an opening speech on behalf of Organizing Committee of ICICT 2012. The conference was presided over by Cui Linhai, associate professor from School of Software. Official language for this conference is English.

The conference placed four venues for four parallel sessions. Participants had an extensive discussion and communication on the theme of information and computing, telecommunications and electronics engineering, sensors and sensor network.

As much as 2000 academic papers from 17 countries and territories including German, Austria, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Algeria, Pakistan, Egypt, Belarus, Taiwan and tens of domestic universities and scientific research institution such as Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xiamen University, Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Jilin University, Harbin Engineering University were received, over 800 of which were adopted. The best papers, after modification and extension, had recommended to be issued by SCI and EI Journals.

ICICT 2012 is a distinguished international meeting in the field of information, computing and telecommunications, to which experts and scholars both at home and abroad pay much attention. Participants speak highly of the arrangements, hospitality and result. The conference provides a bridge for HUST to have an academic exchange in the global world. The international reputation and influence of HUST has been enhanced through ICICT 2012. Additionally, teaching and scientific research of School of Software and other relevant disciplines will be greatly improved.
