Lang Wins the First Prize of Heilongjiang College English Teaching Contest

On May 12, Heilongjiang Young College English Teacher’s Teaching Ability Contest ended inHarbin. This contest was jointly held by the Higher Education Division of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education, and College Foreign Language Teaching Professional Commission of Heilongjiang Province.After fierce competition, Lang Fei, the young teacher from the second College Foreign Languages Department of theForeignLanguageSchoolin Harbin University of Science and Technology (HUST) won the first prize.

This competition consists of two parts, namely the contest of 45-minute classroom video and the contest of 15-minute on-site teaching, which are graded by the expert judges respectively and calculated the total scores as the final result. Under the guidance of Professor Jiang Yufeng, the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages,​​and Professor Guo Hong, the Associate Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Lang Fei performed well in these two parts of the contest, with her humorous teaching style and good knowledge of English Language Teaching. Through this competition, Lang Fei not only gains honor for HUST, but also demonstrates the excellent quality and good spirit of HUST young teachers.

In recent years, young teachers of theForeignLanguageSchoolgave outstanding performances in a host of provincial and university-level competitions. These achievements resulted from the leadership of the leaders of HUST and theForeignLanguageSchool, who keep attaching great importance to teaching and young teachers training.
