In October, provincial English educating evaluation in university level is going to be carried out in HUST. With the approaching of the evaluation, the preparation of the Foreign Languages School is in the phase of countdown. Leaders in the school attach great importance to the evaluation; furthermore, the preparation receives full support from the Academic Affairs Office, Evaluation Center, Property Department, Lab Management Office, Network Information Center, Propaganda Office and Students Affairs Office.

On Oct. 7th, after the previous four conferences for the preparation, the Foreign Languages School held the countdown conference hosted by the Director of Foreign Languages School in the No. 1 building of the West Campus, in which the tasks in the preparation are assigned and checked for the last time. General Secretary of the Foreign Languages School Wangyi, Vice Director Guo Hong and the relevant teachers attended the conference.

Jiang Yufeng expressed his gratitude for those who sacrificed their National Day holiday for the evaluation. He pointed out that the evaluation is of great significance for the future development of the School and the University.

According to the initial “Evaluation Plan”, the directors for the tasks reported the implementation for their respective work based on the 21 criteria. Difficulties and problems were proposed and discussed. After three hours heated discussion, Jiang Yufeng concluded the conference, expressed his affirmation for the previous work, especially the self-evaluation report drafted by Guo Hong and assigned the tasks in the final phase of the preparation. After the conference, leaders of HUST checked the supporting material of the evaluation comprehensively and carefully.
