From June 18th to 20th, invited by Carrera, the professor of Politecinico di Torino University in Italy, Zeng Tao, the dean of the School ofArchitectureand Civil Engineering, participated in the International Conference on Mechanics of Nano, Micro and Macro Composite Structures in Turin of Italy. Many composite mechanics experts and scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, and China and many other countries attended the meeting.

Professor Tsu-Wei Zhou, the president of ASC, Professor Rajapakse from the Office of US Naval Research, Professor JNReddy from Texas University, Professor John Dear of Imperial College and other experts made wonderful academic reports. Zeng Tao also made an academic report entitledTheoretical Prediction on the Mechanical Properties of 3D Braided Composites Using a Helix Geometry Model.

During the meeting, Zeng Tao carried out in-depth exchange of views with the scholars, described the development of the institute to the professors from Politecnico di Torino and Technische Universiteit Delft and engaged in friendly negotiations on cooperation issues.
