On November 1st, the training meeting on the construction of sharing quality resources courses for the year 2012 was held in Harbin University of Science and Technology by the Ministry of Education Teaching and Research Center, sponsored by Heilongjiang Ministry of Education and Harbin University of Science and Technology.
Those who attended the meeting were Yang Xiang, the vice chairman of the Ministry of Education Teaching and Research Center, Wei Zhaosheng, the deputy director of Heilongjiang Ministry of Education, Zhang Min, the director of Higher Education Department, and deputy director Xu Yingqi. The training meeting was hosted by Zhang Min, and attended by more than 400 hosts of quality courses, technical elites and teachers responsible for the teaching from 45 universities both in and outside our province.
At the opening ceremony, Li Dayong, the President of HUST, attended the training meeting and gave a speech, who welcomed the leaders, experts and teachers who came to our university. Then, President Li Dayong introduced briefly the overall development of our university, and explained the significance of improving the undergraduate teaching quality by the implementation of sharing the quality resources courses. At the same time, President Li Dayong expressed the gratitude to the leaders and other universities for their support and help.
At the meeting, the vice chairman of the Ministry of Education Teaching and Research Center, Wei Zhaosheng, expressed the spirit of this training meeting, summarized the achievements of the construction of quality courses during the period of the 11thfive-year plan, and planned the construction of quality resource courses in the 12thfive-year period.
Yang Xiang, the vice chairman of the Ministry of Education Teaching and Research Center, fully introduced the background, significance and requirements of the construction of quality courses. Professor Wu Jianqiang, who is from Harbin Institute of Technology, gave a report on the construction of courses whose theme was “the construction of electrotechnology, from quality course to quality resources sharing course”, exploring the construction of sharing quality resources deeply. The deputy dean of Quality Course Resource Center of Education Ministry, Ju Feng, introduced in detail the technical requirements of the construction of quality resources sharing, and explained the process and useful tools for the application of quality courses. In the meanwhile, he answered the questions concerning the construction of quality courses.
At the meeting, Xu Yingqi, the deputy director of Higher Education Department, gave an arrangement on the construction goals and tasks of quality resource courses for the next phase.
