On November 18, the 2012 Annual Meeting of Dalian Alumni Association was held at Dalian Aulicare Hotel and over 100 alumni working in Dalian attended the meeting.
Li Dayong, President of HUST and Chairman of the General Alumni Association, sent the congratulatory letter to the meeting. On behalf of HUST, Lu Yan, Vice Party Secretary, attended the meeting; Wang Liuyu, Director of Soldier Cultivation Office of the 2ndArtillery in HUST and Senior Colonel, and Wang Yongxin of Alumni Office were also present.
The Chairman of Dalian Alumni Association Zhang Haijie firstly delivered the welcoming speech, expressing gratitude to President Li Dayong’s consistent deep concern and the congratulatory letter and extended welcome to the Vice Party Secretary Lu Yan. The Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of Dalian Alumni Association Fan Baocheng read the congratulatory letter sent by President Li Dayong and the Secretary of Dalian Alumni Association Zong Baozhang introduced the financial and other situations of this year.
With the warm applause, Vice Party Secretary Lu Yan gave a speech. She sang high praises of the communication conducted by Chairman Zhang Haijie and other alumni in Dalian and expressed gratitude to the selfless dedication given by directors of Dalian Alumni Association. She pointed that through all those years, Dalian Alumni Association had had comprehensive cooperation with HUST, attended the first Alumni Forum of HUST, delivered a speech at the commencement as an alumnus for the first time, and on behalf of Alumni Association took part in the bilateral job fair collectively for the first time as well and so on. These “first times” not only made Dalian Alumni Association rank top in the related work, but also demonstrated the deep affection of Dalian Alumni to the alma mater. She hoped that with the guidance of Chairman Zhang Haijie, the Dalian Alumni Association would have further solidarity and cooperation, help each other and enhance both, and make even more contributions to the development of HUST and growth of future graduates.
The Director of the HUST Soldier Cultivation Office and Senior Colonel Wang Liuyu was invited to deliver at the meeting as well, expressing the gratitude to the sincere invitation by the Dalian Alumni Association and hearted congratulation to the success of this annual meeting.
At the meeting, the Director of Dalian Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation Bureau Liu Dechun, Chairman of Board of Tader Coal SCM CO.,Ltd and EcoalChina Li Hongguo, and President of 38 Branch of Dalian Citic Bank Chen Jinzhao shared their personal growth experience and feeling brought by the Alumni Association, by which the participants were deeply touched.
What’s more, the passionate and energetic Gangnam-Style Dance, the interactive games among the alumni as well as the gifts elaborately prepared by the Alumni Association moved everyone greatly. All the alumni hoped that there would be more communication between each other and more alumni working in Dalian would join in the association, making the Dalian Alumni Association a home for friendship, resources sharing, solidarity and cooperation and mutual beneficial development.
