On Nov. 22, HUST held acolloquium for her Non-CPC orgnizations and personages to celebrate the conclusion of the 18th National CPC Congress and uphold its spirit in the 1st meeting room of main building, West Compus.
The colloquium was hosted by Wu Qiufeng, deputy director of HUST’s Department of Publicity & United Front Work. Professor Lu Yan, vice party secretary of HUST’s CPC Committee, chairpersons and representatives from HUST branches of democratic parties (China Democratic League, China Association for Promoting Democracy and Jiusan Society), Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, as well as some personages without party attended the colloquium.
On colloquium, all Non-CPC attendents expressed their excitement on the recent conclusion of the 18th National CPC Congress and planned their future working projests on teaching, researching and the construction of their individual organizations as weill as HUST in combination with their own understandings and digestions of corresponding spirits of the 18thNational CPC Congress.
Vice party secretary Lu Yan summarized the colloquium. On behalf of HUST’s CPC Committee, she expressed her gratitudes to all attendents’ wonderful remarks on this colloquium,as well as their continuous hard working and achievements on their individual positions.
Lu dicussed the importance of promoting the scientific construction of the Party and the socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics, elaborated the 12 parts of the report delivered by Chinese leader Hu Jintao to the 18th Party Congress, and emphasized the parts on the perfection of “the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation and the patriotic United Front of the Chinese people led by the CPC”.
