On March 14, an 11-member delegation of HUST led by Vice Party Secretary Lu Yan and Vice president Meng Shangjiu visited Northeast Agricultural University (NAU) to make survey on the latter’s development of continuing education and online teaching.
NAU’s vice president Zhang Changli, together with some directors in charge of NAU’s continuing education and online teaching, gave the delegation a warm reception. A symposium was held in which the hosts and guests shared their experience on these two subjects, and discussed the passibilities of cooperation between the two universities.
After the 3-hour symposium,thedelegationvisited NAU’s Continuing Education Centerandnetwork information center with the accompany of Vice President Zhang to learn more about the accomplishment of NAU in those fields. The NAU’s efficient digitalized settings and perfect teamwork culture impressed the members of delegation greatly.
As one of the 31 pilot universities as well as the sole agricultural university in China to implement distance continuing education, NAU has constructed a a high-tech infrastructure and gathered sufficient experience on distance education, which is of great significance to HUST to satisfytheneedsofrunning branch campuses in different district or even different cities as well as to keep up with the calls of information era.
