HUST was celebrating Spring Festival everywhere on the New Year’s Eve. At noon on February 9, Party Secretary Gao Jun, Vice President Meng Shangjiu, Chairman of College Union Yang Chun companied by General Manager of Logistics Group Zhao Lingguo, Director of Security Department Yu Zhigang and Deputy Director of the office Zhao Liqiu visited the students’ apartment, boiler room and security department on the East, South and West Campuses, and gave their regards and gifts to the front line staff who kept on working during the Spring Festival vacation. The leaders shook hands with the staff all around with best wishes for a happy New Year and gratefully acknowledged their devotion without any complaint to the construction of the university, while the front line staff expressed their gratitude to the leaders, they would not fail leaders’ expectations and guaranteed the whole school a peaceful and auspicious Spring Festival.

At 12 at noon, Meng Zhuang, the President Assistant, Deputy Director of Student Affairs Office, tutors and some teachers who are in charge of the student affairs had a New Year’s Eve dinner with the students who stayed at school during winter vacation at the second dining hall on West Campus. Meng Zhuang gave a warm speech at the reception and sent greetings and warmest wishes for a bright and happy new year on behalf of the university, meanwhile, he hopes that students can arrange their study and life reasonably and make a good preparation for the new semester. The school leaders gave relief money to the students with special financial difficulties.
