The Hebei Cooperation Symposium for Hundreds of Colleges and Universities was grandly held in Tai Hang State Guest House of Shijiazhuang by Hebei provincial Party Committee and provincial government from June 17 to 18. The symposium was chaired by Deputy Secretary of Provincial Committee of the CPC of Hebei Province and Governor Zhang Qingwei; Secretary of Provincial Committee of the CPC of Hebei Province and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Hebei Provincial People’s Congress Zhang Qingli delivered an important speech; Party member of the Ministry of Education and Assistant Minister Lin Huiqing, Party member of the Ministry of Science and Technology Wang Zhixue, Chief Economist of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Zhou Zixue, Deputy Secretary General of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council Yan Xiaofeng, leaders of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering as well as some provincial leaders of Hebei Province attended the meeting; Secretary of Party Committee of China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group Cai Rang, President of Tianjin University Li Jiajun and Board Chairman of China Risun Coal Chemicals Group Limited Yang Xuegang delivered an speech respectively.
At the meeting, on behalf of HUST, President Li Dayong signed the comprehensive cooperation agreement with Yanshan University, and in principle of equality and mutual benefit, complementing each other’s advantage, resource sharing and common development, the two universities planned to build the long-term, solid and comprehensive strategic cooperation relationship in the aspects of talents training, scientific research, international cooperation and so on to accelerate the improvement of education quality and schooling level. After the meeting, President Li Dayong took part in the negotiation for the scientific project cooperation between local enterprises of Heibei Province and over 100 research institutes and institutions of higher learning attending the symposium.
