On December 19th, according to The Program of the 12th Five-Year Teaching Quality and Reform in Higher Institutions of Heilongjiang Province and The Notice on the Outstanding Teachers Award ([2013] 285), the Provincial Education Department has finished the assessment of the 7th outstanding teachers in higher institutions and published the list of the prize winners.

Professor Liu Shenghui from the School of Software and Professor Chen Dongyan from the School of Applied Sciences were awarded the prize for Provincial Outstanding Teachers. Ten teachers in HUST were awarded the prize.

The assessment process involved the recommendation of the university, the assessment of the experts and publicity through the Internet. There are altogether 51 teachers awarded the prize including 31 in undergraduate universities and 20 in vocational colleges.
