According to the file named as “The Bulletin on Honoring Advanced Units of Proposal Undertaking, Outstanding Proposal Undertakers and Advanced Units of Proposal Organization for the 1st Plenary Session of the 11th CPPCC of Heilongjiang Province” (No. CPPCCHLJ[2014]4) issued by General House of Heilongjiang CPPCC Committee recently, the Publicity and United Front Work Department of HUST CPC Committee was granted “Advanced Units of Proposal Organization”.

The award is a positive affirmation on the efficient work of participation in the administration and discussion of state affairs done by HUST CPC Committee as well as all her CPPCC members at different levels for the last few years. Under the organization and guidance of CPC Committee, all CPPCC HUST members prepared their meeting proposals carefully on the basis of thorough research and investigations to solve more social hotspots and difficult problems in Harbin as well as Heilongjiang with wide and close concern of the public. In this year, they made a number of valuable proposals, such as “On Regulating the Section of Zhengyi Road outside the West Gate of HUST’s South Campus”, “On Promoting Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection by Urban Popularizing Heating Meter Measurement” and “On Mitigating Parking difficulty in the downtown of Harbin”, etc., all of which provided preferable references to governments’ making decisions scientifically and democratically.

The award is also a spur for HUST to make persistent efforts in the future to do better jobs in work of participation in the administration and discussion of state affairs and make greater contribution to the development of Harbin as well as Heilongjiang.
