The sixth session of Heilongjiang’s outstanding youth volunteer work recognition saw a big harvest of HUST, with its CYL (Communist Youth League) Committee wining “Provincial Award for Excellent Youth Volunteer Organization”, Youth Volunteers Association winning “Provincial Award for Excellent Youth Volunteer Service”, Youth Volunteers Association and School of Economy winning “Provincial Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service Project of Rural Migrant Children”, School of Economy,School of Applied Sciences, School of Applied Sciences,School of Softwareand Youth Volunteers Association winning “Provincial Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service Project of the Elderly Support ”and four students winning the award of “Provincial Outstanding Volunteer”.
As an important activity to implement the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress and the 17th CYL National Congress, as well as to practice the Party’s mass line thoroughly, the sixth session of Heilongjiang’s outstanding youth volunteer work recognition was jointly carried out by Heilongjiang CYL Committee, the Publicizing Department of Heilongjiang CPC Committee, Heilongjiang Civilization Office and Heilongjiang Young Volunteers Association, aiming to expand the influence of volunteer services in the whole society by playing the demonstration and guidance roles of typical characters further, encourage the public, esp., youth to participate in volunteer service and promote the construction of better social volunteer service systems and harmonious society.
In recent years, volunteer service has been paid special attention in HUST and all its volunteer service groups and young volunteers have done a lot in various volunteer campaigns on and off campus adhering to the volunteerism of “dedication, love, help, and progress”. The big harvest they get in the sixth session of Heilongjiang’s outstanding youth volunteer work recognition will surely contribute to enhance the popularity of its volunteer service in the future.
