July 14, the delegate led by Deputy Mayor of Yancheng City Zhang Jinglin visited HUST to discuss technological cooperation. General Secretary of HUST Zhao Guogang, Vice President of HUST Zhao Hong, Vice President of HUST Wei Xinlao, Director of Science and Technology Department Yu Xiaoyang, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department Zhang Hui attended the conference hosted by Wei Xinlao.

First, Zhao Guogang, on behalf of HUST, delivered a speech and expressed his warm welcome towards Yancheng delegate. He emphasized HUST was the largest provincial scientific and technological university in Heilongjiang Province with rich technological resource and strong research capability. Meanwhile, Yancheng is the newly flourishing industrial and commercial city and crucial regional center in Yangtze River Delta. The cooperation between HUST and Yancheng will be of great significance to the government-university cooperative model.

Zhao Guogang pointed out that economic development cannot sustain without scientific support. Furthermore, the cooperation between university and enterprise is nonexistent without the support and guidance of government. HUST has already carried out cooperation with several cable enterprises, and cutting tool processing enterprises. In the future, we will extend university-enterprise cooperation, develop the respective strength of government, university and enterprise to form integrated advanced research, development and production system.

Zhao Guogang stressed that the cooperation among government, university and enterprise should adhere to the following principles: 1. To extend university and enterprise cooperative field. University should follow the requirement and trend of the enterprises to realize sustainable development; 2. To research on the match between university and enterprise; 2. To innovate. University is supposed to fully develop the advantage of talents and to carry out technological research cooperatively with enterprises.

Zhang Jinglin made a brief introduction to Yancheng. The cooperation between university and enterprises will be promoted fully to form innovative working mechanism.

Yu Xiaoyang reported the scientific and technological research of HUST. The relevant leaders in Yancheng praised highly of the academic research of HUST and inquired more about the academic product to search for more cooperation fields.

Finally, Wei Xinlao concluded the conference. He pointed out that the discussion, based on the principle of complementary mutual development, was practical and successful. In the future, we will fully explore the excellent educational and researching resources to establish the integrated government-production-research cooperative model.
