Sponsored by HUST League Committee and undertaken by the School of Automation, the closing ceremony of 20thHUST College Students’ Cultural Art Festival was held at Rm 0220 of Western Campus No. 1 Building at 6 p.m. of June 13. The theme of this ceremony is the Art Show at Graduation Time. The guests were Yang Zhongxue, Director of Students’ Affairs Office, Zhou Changqun, Director of Recruitment and Employment Office, Shan Lina from University’s League Committee, Liu Xia, Dean of the School of Automation, Zhang Taifu, Secretary of Party general branch from Automation School, Xu Yan, Deputy Secretary of Party general branch from Automation School, Wang Haiying, Dean of Automation Department, Zhong Weifeng, Dean of Electronic Technology Department, and some other teachers from the University’s League Committee, Students’ Affairs Office, Recruitment and Employment Office and different schools.
The purpose of 20thHUST College Students’ Cultural Art Festival is close to youth and close to the need of young people. The themes are Youth, Dream and Mission. And the main content is to foster the cultural spirit of honest people, practical work, advocating academic learning, and revering scholars. During this festival period, every school organized various forms of cultural and artistic activities, including Campus Top 10 singing Competition, Host Contest, Language Contest, Micro-film Photography Contest, Revolutionary Song Contest, Fun Games,Musical Instrument Competition, HUST Talent Show, Dancing Competition, Ancient Poetry Contest, Chinese Character Fun Contest,Sketch Competition,andMock Interview Competition, etc. About 10,000 students participated in the contests actively. The topics in ending ceremony is divided into 4 parts: love for friends, love for teachers, love for university, and love for lover. Students expressed their emotion through various forms like singing and dancing, cross talk and oral reading.
