In return to the invitation of Catholic University of Louvain, Lausanne Federal Polytechnic University, Lausanne International Sports College, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Russian State University of Science and Technology, the delegates under the leadership of President Li Dayong visited the five universities from May 15^th to May 24^th.. The visit concluded successfully with the signing of the cooperative agreements.

In visiting Catholic University of Louvain, the Director of International Technological and Engineering School Koea Eneman met the delegates. Director Eneman expressed that they attached great importance to the cooperation with Chinese universities. Meanwhile the two universities are supposed to sign new cooperative agreements.

In Switzerland, the delegates first visited The education counselor of Chinese embassy in Switzerland Ms. Sun Ling. She made a brief introduction to the status quo of Swiss higher education, and the cooperation between China and Switzerland in education. In Lausanne Federal Polytechnic University, the Director in International Affairs Department Stephan Morgenthaler met the delegates. Li Dayong presented the profile of HUST and the “Wang Daheng Elite Class”. HUST planned to send students in the Class to study in Lausanne Federal Polytechnic University. The two sides exchanged ideas in graduate students teaching and sending visiting scholars.

In visiting Lausanne International Sports College, the President of Lausanne International Sports College Jan-Anders Manson met the delegates. The two sides reviewed the work after the signing of the cooperative memorandum. Li Dayong expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and commented that HUST would carry out the cooperative work under the framework of the memorandum.

In Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the President of Bauman Moscow State Technical University Igor. B. Fedorov expressed his welcome towards the delegates and introduced the 184 years history of the university and their cooperation with China. The two sides signed agreement in teaching undergraduates, graduate students and technological cooperation.

In Russian State University of Science and Technology, Vice President of the University met the delegates. The two parties exchanged ideas in cultivating students and staff and carrying out technological cooperation, and they signed cooperative memorandum. After the conference, the delegates visited the campus and labs.

The ten days visit further broadens international cooperation between HUST and foreign universities. The practical communication laid solid foundation for improving the quality in international cooperation. Li Dayong was accompanied on the trip by International Cooperation and Exchange Office Director Xi Zhaohui, and the former head of Higher Education Institute Cui Yuxiang.
