German government attaches great importance to Humboldt scholars. As the highest courtesy to Humboldt scholar, German President has met the Humboldt scholar and their family members at the Presidential Palace Hamel Schmidt villa every year since 1954.

Hu Jun was taught by Prof. Wang Zidong who is a famous scholar in international control field in Brunel University and by Gao Huijun who is a Yangtze River scholar in HIT. From 2010.9 to 2012.9, he went to Brunel University with Prof. Wang for study visit and did research on under network environment control and filtering of complex dynamic system and its application. P.S. An Introduction onHumboldt Research Fellowship

Germanyset upHumboldt Research Fellowship in honor of Alexander Von Humboldt who is a great natural scientist and social activist. Humboldt Research Fellowship has internationally enjoyed a good reputation and great academic reputation for a long time. And its major mission is to provide research support for the young scholars with the highest quality on the worldwide scope, to improve the communication among scholars and conduct scientific collaboration internationally. Humboldt Research Fellowship provides research fellowship to about 500 foreign excellent scholars with doctorate under 40 and let them do their scientific research in Germany for one or two years. To improve the funding strength for the Humboldt scholars, they have cut down the number of people allowed to 70 since 2013, which makes the application competition fierce.

The process of selection for Humboldt Research Fellowship is strict, and there will be approximately 100 famous scientists in different fields who will have a discussion over the applicants. The only criterion is whether the applicants have high academic level and research capability at all. Humboldt Research Fellowship has provided fellowship for over 24,000 scholars from more than 130 countries since 1953. There are 40 of these scientists who won Nobel Prize.
