Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government put forward an idea that enterprises are required toestablish innovation laboratories for skilled talents(models) in order to promote the example and leading role of the models in innovation, transformation and development so that this will advance the economic development of Heilongjiang Province. Instructions of the rules, forms, conditions and main tasks can be found inDetailed Implementing Advice on the Establishment of Innovation Laboratories for Skilled Talentsissued byHeilongjiang Provincial Federation of Trade Unions. So far, 50provincial innovation model laboratories have been awarded by the end of the year.
Led byprofessor Liu Xianli, academic leader from HUST, who was ever granted the honor of National “May 1” Labor Medals, the Laboratory of Research & Development and Processing Technologies for High Efficiency Cutting Tools has undertaken more than 100 key science and technology projects, for example the projects for national key science and technology and the support plan, important national science and technology specific projects, etc. With great influence both home and abroad, this laboratory is now a research group doing research on basic theory and the application. The honor awarded this time will surely inspire the research group to work harder for the new achievements and contributions for the economic development of Heilongjiang Province.
