On the morning of Nov. 19, Lu Hao, governor and vice Party Secretary of Heilongjiang Province, visited HUST to make his field survey on its technological achievement transformation, leading some top cadres of several corresponding functional departments at provincial levels, including Li Xiangang, the secretary-general of provincial government, Xu Mei, the director-general of provincial Education Department, Yang Tingshuang, the director-general of provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Tian Shiwei, the general research director of provincial government, etc.

Governor Lu and his entourage visited HUST National Science Park, State-HUST Joint Engineering Lab of High Efficiency Cutters, MOE Research Center of Automobile Electronic Drive Control & System Integration Engineering, and MOST-HDST Joint State Key Lab Breeding Base of Dielectric Engineering in turns, with the accompany of HUST’s Party Secretary Zhao Guogang, President Li Dayong and Vice President Wei Xinlao.

After investigating the related information in details, Governor Lu made a full affirmation to HUST’s capability of technological innovation and achievement transformation, and encouraged the working staff members he met there to work harder to play a greater role in the development of provincial economy and industry.

Then, on Nov. 21, under the host of Governor Lu, a symposium on promoting the industrialization of hi-tech achievements for high educations and research institutions of Heilongjiang Province was held. Party Secretary Zhao, President Li and Vice President Wei attended the symposium, on which President Li and the principals of HIT and HET, delivered their address on this topic as representatives of high educations.
