Invited by HUST, President of Russian Amur National University Mr. Prewjinke Andre Doriossip, President Assistant Mr. Hochko Nikola Nikolayevich, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office Ms. Seadowa Anna Dmitryevna, and Researcher of the Foreign Affairs Office Mr. Yaning Sergei Alexanlovich paid a friendly visit to HUST on April 21, 2015. President Li Dayong and Vice President Zhao Hong met with the delegation members.

Firstly, President Li Dayong extended cordial welcome to the delegation ofAmurNationalUniversity, and then gave an introduction of the history of HUST as well as the basic situation of the school. President Li Dayong said thatRussiaandChinaowned the geographical advantages, hoping the two universities could continuously broaden the areas for cooperation on the basis of existing cooperation of student-exchange. The President of Russian Amur National University Mr. Prewjinke Andre Doriossip showed gratitude to the warm reception of HUST, and introduced the school-running conditions and advantage disciplines. The President Mr. Prewjinke Andre Doriossip also wished further cooperation concerning teacher-exchange and concerted efforts for the scientific projects by the two universities.

In accordance with the cooperation agreement signed in 2012 by the two universities, Vice President Zhao Hong and Russian representatives had a review on cooperation between the two universities in the past two years. HUST had sent 22 students to study Russian inAmurNationalUniversity, and Amur National University 30 students to HUST to study Chinese.

Based on the cooperation mentioned above, the two universities exchanged ideas extensively and reached a consensus with reference to summer camp, practice teaching, selecting students for the short-term study and so on.

The Director of theInternational Cooperation and Exchange Office Xi Zhaohui, the Director of the School of Art Lin Xuewei, the Director of the School of International Culture and Education Wu Xiuhua, the Vice Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office Shao Yang, the Dean of Russian Major of the School of Foreign Languages Chang Ying and the Dean of Tourism Management of the School of Management Xu Anfeng attended the meeting as well.
