On January 24, Secretary of the Party Committee Zhao Guogang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Meng Shangjiu, inspected the key departments and areas on every campus of HUST together with Ren Manchun, the director of School Office, Yu Zhigang, the director of Security Department, Yang Zhongxue, the director of Student Affairs Office, Li Xiangming, the director of Asset Management Center, and Wang Binyuan, the director of Hydropower Center in the Department of Logistics Management. They went to the general duty room, National University Science Park, Student Apartment on the west campus, Sports Center, Library, Archive Room, Security Department on the south campus, boiler room, Materials School and I-shaped building on the east campus. During the inspection, they examined all kinds of security threats, and put forward clear requirements for the relevant work and made the according arrangement and deployment.
During the inspection, Secretary Zhao inquired carefully the situation about staff on duty, and he repeated that the duty staff should enhance the safety awareness and maintain the secure and stable campus on holiday. In the National University Science Park, Zhao had a brief forum with the business managers. In the library, he asked the information about the book collection and the current problems, at the same time, he also communicated with the students who prepared for the postgraduate examination. In the Archive Room, he examined the management of the archives. In the Department of Security on the south campus, Secretary Zhao emphasized the duty work on vacation, fire safety and threats examination, etc. In the Materials School, he visited the lab, communicated with the teachers and students, asked the information about the research direction. On the east campus, they visited the businesses in the I-shaped building and repeated the safety problems.
