On Jan 26, the 3rd session of the 11th Heilongjiang CPPCC opened in the globe theater of Harbin International Conference Center. As CPPCC members from HUST, Party Secretary Zhao Guogang, President Li Dayong, as well as Ji Donghai, Jiang Yufeng, Bi Kexin and Zhao Yanling attended the conference. Jia Hongyu, HUST’s deputy director of Organization (United Front) Department of CPC Committee, also presented as a nonvoting attendee.

After listening to a series of reports, including one made by Governor Lu Hao on the work of provincial government and the resolution (draft) of the 3rd session of the 11th Heilongjiang CPPCC, the HUST CPPCC members took part in group consultation and discussion according to the five subsectors they belong to in Heilongjiang CPPCC, i.e. education group, sci & tech group, CDL(China Democratic League) group,CAPD(China Association for Promoting Democracy) group and Jiu San (Jiu San Society) group.

During the three-day conference, all these HUST CPPCC members observed the requirements carefully and fulfilled their duties perfectly. The statements they made on the issues of our province’s economic and social development, higher education reform or commercialization of science study were appreciated and approved by all other attendees and included in the conference briefing.
