On the afternoon of Dec. 3, Hu Yafeng, vice governor of Heilongjiang Province, visited HUST to make his field survey on industrial transformation of technological achievements and promote the would-be-signed joint construction agreement between HLJ government and SASTIND, with the accompany of Sun Kun, director of provincial Industry & IT Commission and Yang Tingshuang, director of Sci & Tech Department.

Vice Governor Hu and his entourage visited State-HUST Joint Engineering Lab of High Efficiency Cutters, Key Engineering Laboratory on Nano Dielectric & Application, as well as the labs of two Schools, i.e. School of Electric & Electronic Engineering and School of Measurement-control Technology & Communications Engineering, accompanied by HUST’s Party Secretary Zhao Guogang, President Li Dayong, Vice President Zhao Hong and Vice President Wei Xinlao. Being introduced the corresponding background information and the recent study achievements of these facilities by whom may be in charge of them, Vice Governor Hu showed his satisfaction and expressed his appreciation to the whole researching staff worked there.

After investigation on the spot, a symposium was held in 2nd conference room of the main building of teaching. All the above-mentioned provincial or HUST leaders attended the symposium, so did those who were in charged of some related HUST’s organizations such as the General Office, Department of Sci-Tech, School of Mechanical & Power Engineering, School of Electric & Electronic Engineering, School of Material Science & Engineering, and School of Measurement-Control Technology & Communications Engineering, etc.

At the symposium, President Li Dayong, on behalf of HUST, made his report on HUST’s overall situation and characteristics in talent cultivation and scientific research, while Vice Governor Hu delivered a speech, in which he summarized his impression on this field survey, stressed the significance of industrial transformation of technological achievements and the joint construction between HLJ government and SASTIND and suggested the ways for local high educations in Heilongjiang to speed up their transformation and innovation of researching fruits and contribute more to local economy.
