The 2-person delegation, invited by our university, from Russian North-Eastern Federal University, had a friendly visit to Harbin University of Science and Technology. They are Mr. Mikhail Yuryevich who is the vice-principal of International Cooperation and National Science in Russian North-Eastern Federal University and Mr. Romanovich Maximov who is the director of Oriental Institute. They are met by Professor Li Dayong who is the Principal of Harbin University of Science and Technology.

At the beginning, Principal Li Dayong expressed the warm welcome to the visit of the delegation from Russian North-Eastern Federal University, and then he briefly introduced the basic situation of our university, and reviewed the cooperative achievements after the two universities signed the friendly agreement in Dec. 2014. Principal Li hoped that our university could establish the all-around cooperative relationship with North-Eastern Federal University, broaden the cooperative areas and conduct cooperation in scientific research.

Mr. Mikhail Yuryevich, the vice-principal of Russian North-Eastern Federal University, expressed the appreciation for the hospitality of our university. Then he introduced briefly the university history, subject setting, subject strength and international cooperation of Russian North-Eastern Federal University. Mr. Mikhail Yuryevich hoped that our university students could study in North-Eastern Federal University, and he had succeeded in applying for a project of the Russian Government’s Unilateral Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree. Due to the fact that the two universities are both universities based on scientific and engineering subjects, he hoped that two universities could cooperate in broader fields, especially in scientific research.

Those who attended the meeting are Xi Zhaohui, who is the director from International Cooperation and Exchange department, and Chang Ying who is the dean of Russian Department in Foreign Languages School.
