On the morning of June 19, Jia Jiantao, the vice mayor of Harbin Municipal People’s Government, arrived at HUSTNational University Science Park(hereafter referred to as “the Park”) to make his field survey, accompanied by some cadres from Harbin Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, including Yu Mulin, its director and vice Party secretary, as well as HUST’s Vice President Guo Erjun and some members of the Park’s top management,including Yu Yandong, its general Manager.
The honorable guests,at first, got an overall outlook on the operation ways of the Park and the achievements it has made up to now in business incubation, productcommercialization, public technology service platform, talent cultivation and maker space, etc. by watching the display ofCloudStarservice terminal. Then, they went to the Exhibition Hall of Investment Attraction for Technology Projects, where more than 500 outstanding sci & tech achievements made by entrepreneurs stationed in the Park were shown, to enjoy and further learn the frontier technology they were interested in.
In Maker Space, the investigation group visited the Innovation Classroom,Multimedia DesignArea,Creative DesignArea and CKCOFFEE, etc., especially Open Demonstration Laboratory for Self-employed Undergraduates, where they observed the products developed completely by the incubated undergraduate teams and exchanged views with them.
During his visit, Vice Mayor Jia kept on sharing ideas with Vice President Guo and General Manager Yu on some problems in the commercialization of universities teachers’ research findings.
After the field survey, Mayor Jia spoke highly of the work of the Park and promised to give more support for the further construction and develop of the Park in every aspect so as to extend its influence and promote a preferable environment for everyone in Harbin to get interested in self-employment and technology innovation.
