On June 6,the 1stmeeting of the fourth council meeting of Shanghai Alumni Association, namely the symposium on honoring 100thanniversaryof Wang Daheng was held at Shanghai Shen Wang Hotel. Over 70 members of the Shanghai Alumni Association took part in the activity. The President as well as the President of the General Alumni Association Li Dayong sent a congratulatory letter. Vice President and Vice President of the General Alumni Association Yang Chun attended the meeting, accompanied by the Deputy Director of the Office of School and Director of the Office of Alumni Wang Qi and Consultant of the General Alumni Association Liu Jun. The HUST alumni directors ofHangzhou,Nanjing,Wuxiand other cities were present at the meeting as well.
The meeting consisted of two parts. Part One was about the transition issues of Shanghai Alumni Association and Part Two was the symposium on honoring 100thanniversary of Wang Daheng. At the council meeting, Liu Fenglong was elected as the President of the Fourth Council Meeting of Shanghai Alumni Association unanimously. The director-name lists of Standing Vice President, Vice President, Standing Deputy Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and other titles were approved. Yu Chonggang, the previous President of the alumni association was elected as the Honorary President.
At the banquet after the meeting, the directors of the alumni association council gave the self-introductions and expressed the gratitude to Alma mater, showing the vitality and dynamism of alumni association. The leaders and teachers of HUST, the honored guests and the members of council made in-depth exchanges and gave best regards to one another. The activity achieved full success.
