On September 9, 2015, the 31stTeachers’ Day, Zhao Guogang, secretary of the party committee of HUST and Li Dayong, the President of HUST sent their sincere greetings to Lei Qingquan, the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Liu Xianli, national labor medal winner, senior experts Li Zhenjia, Guo Jianying, Liu Zhuofu, the excellent teacher representative of Hei Longjiang province, Zhao Hui, teaching celebrity representative of Hei Longjiang Province and Xu Rui, the first prize winner of Hei Longjiang province. Besides they sent their greetings to senior expert Tang Enqiu who was in Shanghai over the phone. The leaderships also expressed their sincere gratitude to all the diligently working teachers of HUST.
During the visit, the HUST leaders inquired the details of health and living conditions of academician and the senior experts, and expressed the gratitude for their outstanding contribution to education cause. The dedication and the selfless contribution spirit of HUST fellow teachers were firmly confirmed by the leaderships. They also promised to put endeavors to set up platforms for the growth of young teachers. The leaderships hoped the fellow teachers can set up the education concept of moral instruction, firmly establish the ideas of education devotion and dedication, and emphasize on the students’ innovation spirit and practical ability cultivation. New contributions to high quality talents cultivation and leapfrog development of HUST from excellent teachers were highly appreciated.
The teachers were quite delighted for the considerations from the leaderships, and devotions for education and considerate concerns for students can be easily figured out from the conversations. They all expressed their willingness to make persistent efforts in the future teaching careers, and promise to take the knowledge sharing and students educating as their first responsibility. The interviewed teachers quoted “learn, so as to instruct the others. Act, so as to serve as examples to all” as their mottos, and tried to become the instructors for the students. Thus, they would contribute their own efforts in the future improvement of HUST teaching and scientific research standards.
