On the afternoon of September 8, Academician Lei Qingquan, who is always concerned about the growth and development of young teachers, and some young teachers had an exchange meeting together. Connecting with his own decades’ teaching and academic research experiences, Academician Lei Qiangquan gave the young a vivid lesson. Party Secretary Zhao Guoguang attended the meeting. Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department Wu Mingyang, Deputy Director of the Office of Personnel Wei Qi and some excellent young teachers from the School of Applied Science, the School of Material Science and Engineering and other schools took part in the meeting as well. The meeting was presided over by Secretary Zhao Guogang.

Academician Lei Qingquan talked about the following issues at the meeting. The first one is that as a scholar and teacher, what the course of the life is. The second one is that“Striving”is in the whole life. The third one is about the meaning and importance of learning.

After listening to the address given by Academician Lei Qingquan, the young teachers exchanged ideas with him on issues like scientific research direction, equipment, puzzles and other problems. Academician Lei Qingquan answered the questions patiently and gave the young constructive comments and suggestions.

In the ending part, Secretary Zhao Guogang pointed out that the speech given by Academician Lei Qingquan had great guiding significance to the young teachers, and he wished Academician Lei Qingquan and the young teachers a happy Teachers’Day.Encouraged by the role model, the young teachers determined to make contributions to the development of Harbin University of Science and Technology.
