From August 5to 7, Engineering Dielectrics Association of Chinese Electrotechnical Society,SchoolofElectricaland Electronic Engineering of HUST hosted the “15thNational Seminar of Engineering Dielectrics” in HUST. Professor Li Shengtao of Engineering Dielectrics Association of Chinese Electrotechnical Society, the Secretary General Zhong Lisheng, President of HUST Li Dayong, Vice President of HUST Wei Xinlao, Director of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Chen Qingguo, Vice Director Han Baozhong attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Zhong Lisheng.
At the opening ceremony, Li Dayong made a brief introduction on the profile of HUST. He expressed his warm welcome towards experts, professors and representatives and his gratitude for their care, support and help towards HUST. In the conclusive ceremony, Li Shengtao summarized the results of the seminar and the future working plan, and expressed his gratitude towards HUST’sSchoolofElectricaland Electronic Engineering.
Since 1983, National Seminar of Engineering Dielectrics has been held once every two years. The seminar involves nano-composite polymer material, functional dielectrics, space charge and dielectric properties, discharging and electrical equipment. Furthermore, the seminar received 80 papers from 16 universities, academic institutes and agencies from renowned experts and scholars at home and abroad. The participants were 122 from 32 academic institutes, among them there were 45 university teachers, 57 graduate students and 20 representatives from enterprises. In the seminar, representatives centered on the frontier projects in Chinese Engineering Dielectrics, and shared knowledge, experience and innovative thought. Therefore, the seminar contributes greatly in academic communication and cooperation in the field of Chinese Engineering Dielectrics.
